Lymphatic Face Drainage by Dr. Sergey Shchurevich
Is a comprehensive massage methodology based on lymphatic drainage and connective tissue massage. Its primary function is directed to eliminate morphological and metabolic waste in the interstitial tissue and inter-fascial spaces caused by internal chronic diseases or external factors.
During Lymphatic Drainage course, participants will learn that this technique affects three different morphofunctional components of the lymphatic system: vessels (microvessels made up of a single layer of endothelial cells which ensure the reabsorption of interstitial lymph), lymphatic drains (lymph ducts of varying thickness which have a purely transport function) and lymph nodes. This technique when performed in a specific rhythm and sequence, activates the natural, physiological predisposition to a complete cycle of lymph formation and drainage.

Lymphatic drainage significantly compensates the inadequate lymphatic and venous vessels and significantly shortens the period of tissue recovery after injuries and operations by actively draining away toxins and improving metabolic processes. Lymphatic drainage is being actively used as a therapeutic procedure to eliminate swelling and stagnant processes in the tissues in cardiovascular and kidney problems. In addition to its essential draining effect, the technique fulfills a number of other important tasks that are closely related to the functions of the lymphatic system (detoxification, enhancement of the immune system, maintenance of the homeostasis).
Classification of manipulative techniques:
Adaptive part
Magistral ('channel') drainage
Interstitial kneading
Bio-osmotic pompage
Contraindications to facial lymphatic drainage massage:

Characteristics of the treatment:
The massage lasts approximately 50-60 minutes.
The number of massages per treatment course is 10-12, depending on the accompanying pathological conditions.
The frequency of massages is 2-3 times a week.
Follow-up massages are recommended once every 7-10 days.
Lymphatic Face Drainage course was developed specifically for the regeneration of the normal functioning of damaged tissues, i.e. skin, subcutaneous tissues and muscles that have been subjected to aggressive physical impact and are in a state of metabolic stress. this technique is considered one of the basic massage methods and it would be difficult to imagine modern cosmetology and aesthetic medicine without it.
